There is something special finding a package at your front door. #twinslife

There is something special when you find a package sitting at your front door. For a moment, it is like Christmas came just a few months early. I love the feeling of seeing a brown box or soft package when I walk in our front gate as it rests, propped against the front glass door. As I picked up the package, I noticed it was postmarked to Bobby, Sarah, Rose, George and Henry. When you see all those names written on a package a few things come to mind. First, it feels weird seeing five names on a package for one house. Second, only someone that knows and loves your family would take the time to send a package to all five members, two of which are not even a month old. As I walked inside, I noticed a familiar name on the return address. A smile came across my face. I knew it was going to make Sarah happy, maybe even shed a tear. When Sarah’s mom past away, her mother purchased three copies of a book; one for each of her daughters. The book is “Someday” and tells this story, “a mother reflects on the love she has for her child as she dreams of each milestone the child will reach from birth to bike riding to waving goodbye.” Sarah wrote about this book in her blog and the author, Alison McGhee began following our story. When Rosebud was born, we found a bunch of books on our front doorstep, each personally signed to Rose. This day, we find more books from our favorite author. Her gift of writing and her sweet passion for our family brings tears to my eyes. I have never met Alison; but I can truly say that I love her and thankful we found her. I hope one day we will meet. I hope one day Rosebud, George, and Henry will get to sit and listen to Alison read a book, one that she wrote and personally signed to each of them. Thank you Alison, maybe someday we will meet. Much love! #twinslife #rettew5
