It is the second night home and the routine is starting to find it’s balance…balance and routine are important words to consider. Bringing twins home is like nothing I have ever experienced.

So yesterday, “soon” became a reality! WE ARE HOME! After 27 days in the GHS NICU, the boys came home! Last night, we spent the first night home as a family if five! Now it is time for the #Rettew5 to hunker down in the house to find the new normal.
For 27 days, our normal were daily trips to the NICU, working with the nurses and doctors…now it is up to us create our new routine! #FinallyHOME #NoMoreNICU #ThankYouGHS #twinslife

I was looking through the archives and came across these images I captured in 2006 and 2007. I captured this image from the south beach of Hunting Island, overlooking the inlet with the bridge leading to Fripp Island in the background.
We used to walk this beach every evening since I was a little boy. My father used to capture the sunset across this inlet, each image the beach has receded a little more. We tore down the cabin in the fall of 2008 because the water was underneath the house. I captured this image with my #Canon #20D.
