One of my favorite pictures from today is Dr. Hart holding George. George and Henryare two months old today, how appropriate for them to have their two month appointment the same day, August 10, 2017.
First of all, I can’t believe they are two months old. Second, if their were born on their original due date (July 31st), they would not even be two weeks old today. Here we are getting their two month shots.
The morning started at 3:30am Saturday, June 10th being awaken by Sarah saying something is wrong. As I rubbed my eyes trying to figure out what was going on, I realized her swift movements to the bathroom indicated I better jump into action. As I ran into the bathroom, I looked at Sarah as tears ran down her face. I knew…I better call Dr. Hearn immediately. I wondered…how did this start.
My view tonight at AnMed Health. The twins are ok and still cooking, but had a little scare this morning. Henry is flopping around and George is trying to push his way out. Trying to hold on 10 more days to break the 34 week mark! #twinsontheway
In 2012 I was struck, hit upside the head, and right in the chest with the news of a friend who had been murdered. I had worked along side her to help create an event called Ecoplosion. She worked for Clemson University in the Master of Real Estate Development Program and was a crucial part of putting together a big economic development event in Greenville, SC. Her name is Marge Putnam.
I was struck in the head and in the chest. It knocked the breathe out of me to learn that this beautiful woman, mother, grandmother, community leader was killed by her husband who then killed himself.
I was struck in the head to learn the statistics. South Carolina ranks as the #1 state in the nation for women killed by men; 1 in 5 female college students are sexually assaulted; 1 in 4 women are the victims of domestic violence; and over 50% of middle and high-school girls experience sexual harassment in school.
